You finally met the woman of your dreams and you’re ready to ask her to spend the rest of her life with you. But first you need a ring.
Before you can figure out how you want to pop the question, you must figure out what kind of ring to get. For a man who has never shopped for an engagement ring the task can be daunting, but there are certain steps you can take that will help you make a more informed and successful purchase. The first step is to determine whether or not you want to surprise your fiancée-to-be or if you want to involve her in the purchase.
If you choose to involve your special lady in the process of picking Latest Design of Gold Ring For Women, then you really only need the one step. However, it does take the surprise factor out of the equation. Another benefit of including your prospective wife in the buying process is that you will know with complete certainty that the ring chosen will be exactly what she wants. On the other hand, involving her in the ring selection might make the task feel more like a business transaction and less like solving the very romantic riddle of finding the engagement ring of her dreams. If you do want to try to decode the riddle, the next step is to figure out what taste she has in jewelry.

ENGAGEMENT rING
You may have a fairly good understanding of the kind of Wedding Ring Designs she likes, but you can also remind yourself by paying close attention to the jewelry she wears on a daily basis. Is it ornate or casual? Does she like floral motifs or geometric patterns? Does she often wear diamonds or other colored gemstones? By observing your soon-to-be fiancée you’ll be able to gather a decent amount of reconnaissance concerning her jewelry preference, and you can confirm your own research in one of two ways: by checking with one of her close friends or by surreptitiously checking with her.
Checking with one of her friends will be easier since you can ask her direct questions without trying to be sly, however, make sure you trust her friend enough not to spill the beans. If you want to run ring ideas past your lady love, you must take sneaky precautions such as creating a cover story. For instance, you could casually mention that someone from work asked you for your opinion on selecting an engagement ring for his girlfriend. This approach is trickier because she might see through your ruse completely, but again you’ll without a doubt get her opinion on the matter.
The choice of how to go about gathering information is yours, but ultimately the decision will come down to how well you think the engagement ring suits your favorite gal. If, when you are perusing engagement ring stores you cannot imagine any of the rings before you resting on your lovers’ hand for the next 50 – 60 years, chances are that the ring selection is not right for her. Trust your instincts and make sure to support those instincts with the clues around you.

The popular Latest Designs Of Gold Womens of the modern age had its beginning as recent as the 19th century and wasn’t always a symbol of undying affection, it was more or less the first part payment of the bride price to be paid to the bride’s family but handed over and worn by the bride. All that glitters is not gold. It might be almost gold, though. It all depends on how much gold the gold contains. You may be confused by that, but gold can actually be confusing. In this article, we will explain what 24K gold actually means!
It is one of the very few materials where you can add other things to it, and it still just gets called “gold”.

Although we do call all gold “gold”, we qualify it by adding a fineness rating to it. You will have heard these expressed as 18k gold, 14k gold and so on. The number is relative to the amount of gold present, and the k is short for “karats”, the standard gold fineness measure.
Technically, almost all gold jewelry produced today is actually a gold alloy. When we say fineness, when referring to gold, we actually mean purity rather than any quality rating of the gold itself. The yellow gold makes up the bulk of the gold alloy, but it will also contain other metals. These can be silver, copper, nickel, platinum, palladium or others. Pure gold is not in common use for modern jewelry for a variety of reasons.
When a system of measuring the purity of gold first appeared, it was along the lines of a 24 point scale. These points were called karats. The system is closely related to the carat (with a c) system for weighing diamonds but evolved over time to become a measure of purity or fineness, rather than weight.
The perceptive amongst you will have noticed that we are discussing 24k gold, and our scale has 24 points on it. A simple deduction will, quite rightly, lead you to the conclusion that 24k gold is actually pure gold. Or as pure as it gets, anyway.
24k gold is not, actually, 100% pure. Commercially available 24k gold is, in fact, 99.95% pure only, due to the lack of attainability of 100% purity. Gold has been refined further, but the practice is not commercially viable, and so we consider gold of 99.95% purity, or higher, as pure.
Gold is expensive. It’s not diamond- Cheap Engagement Rings, but it is expensive nonetheless. Naturally, in order to appeal to people with various budgets, manufacturers like to produce products to match. The only way to do this is to reduce the cost of manufacture. And the only way to do that is to reduce the amount of gold used.
As we know, 24k gold is pure, so the other numbers in common use – 22k, 18k, 14k, 10k – all denote a gold purity relative to 24k. 14k gold, for example, is fourteen twenty fourths pure, or 58.3%. The other 41.7% will consist of other metals.
Gold, for all its beauty and high-value, has one inherent weakness, in that it is a very soft metal. This exposes the gold to a high rate of wear and tear. So soft is 24k gold, in fact, that a gold band can easily be bent out of shape with just bare hands. We used to see a lot of 24k gold wedding bands, but the rate of them requiring repair was extremely high. As well as often having deep scratches, many of the bands wore thin on the bottom due to constant contact with harder materials just in everyday use. Eventually, the band breaks and requires attention.
You can still buy 24k gold jewelry, but it is becoming less and less common.
If you are lucky enough to fine jewelry using 24k gold, it is likely to be antique. It is also likely to show signs of age that you wouldn’t see on platinum or silver jewelry of the same age. However, despite the potential pitfalls of owning 24k gold jewelry, the depth and quality of color in the metal is outstanding.
Because of the other metals in alloys at lower purities, the yellow color fades to a greater or lesser degree. If you add a drop of white paint to a tin of yellow paint and stir it in, it will change the color slightly. So it is the same with gold. If you add a white metal to yellow gold, they yellow tone becomes less vivid. The addition of copper to the alloy helps, but it isn’t the same.
Diamonds with warm tones look wonderful in yellow gold. The slight yellow tint of some diamonds becomes more noticeable thanks to the yellow color of the gold. Colorless diamonds can also look slightly yellow, and so aren’t quite so desirable. Colored gemstones also add very vivid contrast to the yellow gold. Rubies, especially, work very well.
Despite the softness of pure gold, it is actually quite easy to clean. If it is a simple Wedding Ring Design, then warm water and a mild soap are all you need. If there is heavy dirt, in the hallmark for example, then you can leave the ring to soak for 20 minutes. This will do no harm to the ring.
If you have any gemstones in the setting, soaking is not a good idea. Many stones do not respond well to immersion in water. It is best to be safe and not leave the ring submerged for any period. Instead, use the soap/water mix, and a very soft toothbrush. These are available anywhere that sells baby products. With the wet brush, gently loosen the dirt from the ring. Take care not to apply pressure in case the stones become dislodged.
If necessary, let the ring dry naturally, and then try again. If you are in any doubt, take the ring for professional cleaning. Under no circumstances should you ever apply any chemicals to your ring. This includes supposed jewelry cleaners which are available. Also, never use an ultrasonic cleaner. These machines use vibrations to loosen the dirt, but they will also loosen the stones.

No matter the engagement ring you choose, there is guaranteed to be a halo setting for it. They have flooded the cases of every jewelry store and are a common sight on so many newly engaged women’s Instagram feeds for good reason. Halos or double halos make a smaller carat stone appear larger, brilliantly highlighting features of a gem cut like a princess or pear cut diamond.

For those few future brides unaware of the halos power to enhance and dazzle, here’s how it’s done.
Princess Cut Diamond Ring or gemstone pavés put into a design that surrounds the center stone. The pavé is a group of smaller gemstones set closely together and held in place by little beads or prongs that are barely visible. However, what you are most aware of is their aggregate sparkle, especially how it extends the shine to all sides.
While halos are one of the newer styles on the scene, its origin is centuries old. This versatile motif started taking off during the 1700’s when they were first called cluster rings. However, today cluster rings can also refer to a group of smaller diamonds held together to create the illusion of a large center stone. The two terms are interchangeable.
This 270 year-old ring was given by a rogue king who failed to reclaim the throne of Great Britain an uprising in the 1700’s gave to a widowed mother after her son volunteered to eat food that might be poisoned for him. The rose or “European cut” diamond is surrounded by smaller diamonds of various sizes. Diamonds were hard to source in uniform sizes, even for the most rich and famous people of the time.
Victorian times saw the rise of a variation composed of the smallest of halos with the center diamond being raised up high in certain mounts. Yet diamonds weren’t necessarily the most popular for halos back then. Many halos were made out of seed pearls set on a backing of black enamel in order to stand out.
During the Art Deco era halos adapted to fit right into its popular streamlined designs and geometric shapes. Many rings featured a cut open style that made use of negative space extremely well.
Though the halo has never really fallen out of fashion, its popularity began to rise in the new millennium and since 2010 it has skyrocketed. In fact, recently we have seen rapidly growing desire for the dazzle of double and triple halos. Most often they are paired with a Wedding Ring Design ring or a series of harmonious stackables. Expect to see even more innovative styles as our gifted Gabriel designers redefine what an engagement ring can be.

To answer some of the most common questions people ask us, we have put together the following guide for how to buy a wedding ring.
The most popular metals used for wedding rings are White Gold, Yellow Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum. These metals are all very durable and hence suitable for items of jewellery that will be worn for many years.
The choice of metal is one of personal taste. For anyone with an engagement ring, we highly recommend matching the metal type to minimise wear and tear. Those who regularly wear a watch will most often choose a metal to match and complement it.
Whilst White Gold and Platinum are two completely different metals, the appearance is virtually indistinguishable once White Gold is rhodium plated (a process we do to all of our white gold rings unless requested otherwise). Click here for a description of the pros and cons of Platinum vs White Gold.
The ‘profile’ of a Wedding ring Designs refers to the ‘shape’ of the band’s circumference. For example, a ‘flat profile’ wedding band has no rounded edges, only four flat sides, whereas a ‘rounded’ band is round on all sides. There are many other profiles to choose from, such as high dome, low dome, knife edge and parrot nose. During your appointment, one of our friendly jewellers will show you examples of each, which you can try on to assist with your decision. For the ladies, we recommended matching the profile of your engagement ring.
Choosing the width of your band is also a matter of personal preference. Latest Designs Of Gold Rings are custom made to meet a minimum standard thickness and width, to ensure durability and overall quality. For those wearing an engagement ring, it’s most common to match the width of the engagement ring as they will usually be worn together. For others, it is simply a matter of comfort and style, as well as what proportion will suit your finger.
Once you have chosen your metal type, you will then get to choose which finish you would like for your ring. The two main options are polished (shiny) or matte (brushed). Many men choose to have a combination of polished and matte. You can see examples of this in our design gallery. Almost all women choose a polished finish to complement their diamonds.
As we specialise in custom made rings, our customers have many additional design options to choose from. Diamonds and engraving (both on the inside or outside) are the most popular choices, but there are also details such as mill grain (fine ‘dots’ of metal bordering selected edges of your design), Mokume Gane (a Japanese technique using a mixture of metals, which are worked together to create a unique pattern), cut grooves and more. Many women choose to have the diamonds in their wedding ring line up and match with the diamonds in their engagement ring for an overall uniform look.
We are highly skilled in the art of perfectly matching and fitting your wedding ring to your Engagement Ring Designs, no matter how complex the design. If your engagement ring was not made for a wedding ring to sit flush beside it, we will custom make your band to ‘fit’ against your engagement ring setting smoothly, without making any changes to your engagement ring. The benefit of this is not only visual, but also structural.
If you have a protruding engagement ring setting, a straight wedding band will rub against the setting and cause it to wear away more quickly over time. Incorporating a notch or curve into your wedding band means the rings will not rub away at each other, but rather ‘lock in’ to each other.
During your appointment, your jeweller will advise you whether a fitting is necessary for your ring design.

The biggest concern for most when purchasing an engagement or wedding ring is whether they have allowed enough in the wedding budget. Once upon a time, it was considered 2 or 3 months’ salary was the recommended amount one should spend on an engagement ring. More recently though, it is totally acceptable to spend only what you can afford and what you feel comfortable with. There is no need to spend a fortune and find yourself in excessive debt just to keep up with others, the same can be said about wedding rings.
For those of you who are budgeting for wedding rings, you can rest assured that a wedding ring is usually the more affordable of the two. The cost will ultimately depend on whether you choose to include diamonds in your design. A classic 18 carat gold wedding ring will cost approximately $800 for a lady or the same design for a gent, will cost approximately $1,300.
If your Square Cut Engagement Ring is made out of platinum, then your wedding ring will need to match, using the same alloy for rings worn side-by-side reduces wear and tear on both rings. Platinum is considered the superior metal and is renowned for its purity, density and longevity however, the price of platinum reflects this and it is more expensive than 18 carat gold. A platinum wedding band will set you back approximately $1,000 for a ladies design and $2,300 for a gents.
Including diamonds can increase the cost by a few hundred to a few thousand depending on the quantity and the size. Other additional design features such as engraving, mill grain and filigree patterns will also add to the cost.
If the price of your wedding is preventing you from getting the wedding ring of your dreams, there is always the option to add to your design later down the track. Princess Cut Diamond Ring and hand engraved designs are additions that can be added to a plain band at any time, just be sure to let your jeweller know if this is your intention as they may choose to build in a little extra thickness. You may also decide that a simple wedding ring is the best option for you and then like many do, you can create an eternity ring further down the track that completes your dream set.
